Eco Furniture

Eco furniture is an expanding industry. This type of furniture is made from either recycled materials or from materials from a sustainable source. Wood, metal and plastics are all common construction materials for these pieces.

When most people think about eco furniture they usually think “rustic”. However, modern ecologically friendly designs can be found that have a much more contemporary feel to them. Even traditional designs can be made from sustainable materials.

Reclaimed wood is a common material for creating eco furniture. Reclaimed wood is essentially wood that has been salvaged from any number of sources, including old barns and fence posts. Using reclaimed wood is a good way to help reduce the amount of lumber that is cut down each year.
